: Veigar infinite AP scaling mechanic with a point and click execute is too much
Agreed. People will say you can beat Veigar. They'll say just wait out his stun and jump on him. They're not wrong. But being able to kill a champion doesn't mean they're not imbalanced.

Literally 0? Even with my Six Bead Bonanza build he deals _some_ damage.

: Can Riot implement the champion models from "Wild Rift" into Leauge?
In theory, but they'd probably have to rework their engine to do it. Which is a massive order.

That's it. Just do that and the game feels 1 million times better to play. Actually an excellent idea, now that I think of it. Knockups are a huge part of the game right now, with damage as high as it is. I notice a lot of squishier champions dying before they even hit the ground, and there's no way to combat a knockup once you're up.
: PSA: Juggernauts =/= tanks
And don't expect a tank to survive in the current meta, either. The only way to survive as a beefy champion is to out-sustain, and that means having the damage to feed your lifesteal.

: What is the best build for tristana? attack speed or critical
Build want you prefer, I say. Guinsoo isn't bad on her in general, because her ult scales really well with AP.
: Old Taric Looks More Fun To Play...
He wasn't really broken, just... nuanced. Kind of weird to play. He did get a _ton_ of play at one time, but I don't think he was ever widely considered broken. Personally, I prefer new Taric, but I favor wild interactivity changes as a rule.

Third thought: "I'm just glad they're making a major change. I like seeing things change every now and again, and last season was the first season with no major changes to anything." Fourth thought: "But why does he have viewers...?"
: Please, Riot, Can you not put unranked players with experienced players?
I regularly win games against high Gold players and I'm unranked, as are many who play with me. It's not an absolute. "Unranked" simply means they haven't finished placements yet. A lot of those unranked players could have gold, platinum, even diamond levels of skill.

I second this. I _never_ see Wukong anymore. I never played him, but I'm starting to miss the little rod-spinning sneak in my games.
: What's ok about that is the fact that it's 100% skillshots. Meaning that, if you're not bad, you can dodge it and then ignore him for around 12 seconds until his cooldowns come back up. I will admit his damage is a bit too high in my opinion, but you can play around it. It's kinda like Blitzcrank, Thresh, Nautilus, or Pyke. All 4 of them have really powerful hooks and repositioning tools that, if you get hit by, you're probably dead. It's just a matter of not getting hit.

All 4 of them have really powerful hooks and repositioning tools that, if you get hit by, you're probably dead. It's just a matter of not getting hit. The average major league baseball player. You'd say he's not bad at baseball, right? I think we can agree on that much. Well, it's considered unachievable for a major league batter to bat .400 (40% success rate at bat) across a season. .300 is considered a very good average. This is because the average player will be at bat over 1,000 times per season. No matter how good someone is, the more you throw at them, the more chances they have to make a mistake. When Brand can sling his skillshots every 4-6 seconds without losing much mana, he's giving his opponent far too many opportunities to make a mistake. He can herd them where he wants them to be and, once cornered, hit them with a combo that's almost impossible to dodge. If he lands only two, the rest are guaranteed to hit because of his stun. I believe this is what OP is referring to. His ability to swarm the opposition with things to dodge with little tradeoff.
: Renekton after Shojin removal
Renekton's abilities are quite decisive, especially with Fury on. Being able to spam them feels like overkill, particularly when it's dangerous just to be close to him when his ult is up.

: If you've ever played a fighting game, you'll know that even just an extra .25 or .5 second delay on a parry(or in this case an alpha strike to dodge a skill shots) is impossible to effectively use it anymore. As a longtime Tekken pro and winner of several tournaments... No, this is actually inaccurate for reasonably skilled players. Players who know the game beyond beginner skill can predict the opponent's combo timing and counter with a delayed move just fine. In fact, many moves have a delayed variant which deliberately delay the move's execution for the sake of throwing the opponent's timing off. A 0.25 second delay doesn't make anything impossible to use. > No ones going to be able to draw their line quick enough. It's the clunkiest mechanic ever. Clunkier than standing still for two seconds for Sion's Q. Clunkier than Taliyah's W. Clunkier than Galio's E. Clunkier than just about everything Ivern brings to the table. You native speakers sure do love your hyperbole. If you're that passionate about it, we could change it to a zig-zagging skillshot instead. At least that way Yi couldn't just position wherever he saw fit with it.

That's just it, though. What Yi is about right now is far too simple. For a squishy assassin, he stays in the fight _way_ too long. Assassins are supposed to have to pick their moments and strike with precision. Master Yi ults, runs STRAIGHT into the fight, presses Q, presses Q, presses Q, and gets a pentakill. (This is a slight exaggeration, but it's insanely easy for Yi to get a penta compared to almost any other assassin I can think of off the top of my head.) Apart from Nocturne, who usually regroups with his team after he clears out a squishy target with his ult, I can't think of another assassin that charges headlong into the fray and stays put until the fight is over.
Keiaga (NA)
: This makes yi weaker since using q to avoid damage was as deep as his kit gets and you cant do that if you have to draw a line first. What's to stop someone from zigzagging back and forth on top of a single target ? Seems like it would be pretty broken overall. And not overpowered broken. Just not functional

Seems like it would be pretty broken overall. And not overpowered broken. Just not functional Because you have to draw it "out". You can't overlap existing territory. Additionally, he'd still avoid damage, you'd just have to actively target the skillshot where you wanted it to go before he did his disappearing act.

: Characters we hate and why
Lore-wise, Illaoi. No question. Balance-wise, there are a LOT right now. But the one I absolutely can't stand is Master Yi. He has all the mobility he wants with very little effort. He can heal through soft CC. He can IGNORE soft CC. He gets tons of true damage. He gets a free "nope" card every 2.4 seconds. And none of it so much as requires a skillshot. I hate Yasuo, but at least you can lock Yasuo down if you time things right and predict his movements. You can't lock Yi down unless you're outright lucky. Don't lock him down in exactly two seconds? Say goodbye to your ADC.

Reasonable enough, though they seem more than happy to downvote me even now. You'd figure at least a few of them would've taken two seconds to go "Yeah, give this some exposure" and upvote.
: Riot's logic behind it was so that it was a middle ground between lane bullies dominating everything (no plates at all) and hypercarries being the only useful champions (plates but no reward for them). It wasn't just to discourage people from ignoring it until plates fell, it was also to prevent hypercarries and roaming champions from being massively stronger than lane bullies that couldn't really roam. As I've said before - Maybe the gold gain from it is a bit off-balance, but the concept itself is probably the best way to solve the issue.

Yeah, I'm reasonably onboard with the mechanic itself, I just feel like it needs some tuning.
: Why is Akali not reverted at this point?
I kind of prefer her new W because she has to actively move around in it. She could more reliably pick a spot and just stand still until her next cooldown when off before. She felt a little weird at first, but after I played her a few times, I was endeared to the new kit. Wish they'd do something about her ult, though. Just kind of feels like an Ahri ult with less utility. I feel like it needs some identity. Maybe bring the stun back and hack some of the damage off, but then she's an assassin, so that doesn't really make sense...
: With the changes to lane experience coming for Season 10...
LOL. To be honest I'd be down for that. If there must be a single, defined meta everyone has to play, at least let it change every few years.

I wouldn't say turret plating is _why_ bot snowballs, but it certainly doesn't help to hand an already successfully aggressive lane more gold.
: Gee, I don't know. Why **would** you need something to keep the turret alive longer if there's snowball? Man, I have no idea why. Not like something to keep a turret alive would help with snowball or anything!
> [{quoted}](name=DuskDaUmbreon,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=FRjyl3d8,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2019-10-18T06:39:43.031+0000) > > Gee, I don't know. Why **would** you need something to keep the turret alive longer if there's snowball? > > Man, I have no idea why. Not like something to keep a turret alive would help with snowball or anything! The problem is that they create more snowball opportunities. Having the plating is fine, but when the plating grants extra gold, it kind of defeats the purpose. If the other team is pushing you off turret to the point that the plating kicks in, that means they're already getting gold unopposed _and_ they're now getting even more gold from the turret plating. Keep the plating, lose the gold. I get that they did it to discourage people from just staying off turrets until plating falls, but there's an easy fix for that: Take the time limit off the plating. Outer turrets have plating permanently, plating doesn't give gold. Problem solved! Mostly.

: Season 10 will suck like Season 9 did ... here is why
All I can say is, though your phrasing might seem blunt and devoid of detail to some, I can't find any flaws in your statements. From what I can tell, pretty much everything you've said here is looking to be true. I mean they _claim_ to have done something about snowballing but... When you sit down and think about the math, it's not really going to help a whole lot. Especially since, as you say, turret plating still gives gold. To be honest, I say leave turret plating on the outer turrets permanently. No gold, no time limit, just... Put them there. That way the losing lane has a fighting chance of keeping things even in the early game, and if they fail, they don't give that much more snowball to the winning lane. Edit: That _one guy_ who downvoted the thread must've hit me too. I swear there's gremlins in my account code or something.
: QoL change would be nice for semi-fixed camera. Would love to recenter yourself when using this.
Space bar should do it. I usually just hold space bar down when I play, letting it go for those brief moments when I need to move the camera manually.
: I Think Silence Should Stop Tryndamere Ult
Why would anyone downvote this? Seriously, why would _anyone_ downvote this? There is 100% _no reason_ Tryndamere's ult should ignore CC, and I say this as someone who plays Tryndamere on the semi-regular.
: Shojin doesn't need to be remove from Summoner's Rift.
Personally, I'm amused that so many people are agreeing with me (that it should be removed) now that Riot's doing it, but back when I was first to say it everyone was like "Dude it's not even powerful, no one cares, kys."

This doesn't give me faith that they'll stand out. Maybe they will in the end, but it's a gamble, and one they didn't need to take. Let me turn this around: What game _should_ Riot make? Options I'd explore, if I were the one in charge: - Some form of RPG. Singleplayer market (brand new territory for Riot), lets them expound upon the lore substantially, allows players already interested in the lore an avenue to experience it more directly. - Strategy. The lore of League is full of potential for a Three Kingdoms-style experience; a character-driven strategy game in which the player attempts various objectives. Some modes might ask only to unify a region and hold it for x number of years. Others might go full alternate history and have the nations of Runeterra fighting for absolute supremacy. Champion abilities already create an interesting tactical tool that most games of this type don't explore too deeply. - There's an action-adventure game in Piltover. It's there, waiting to happen. Imagine what a field day an art team would have designing the unique above-and-below world that is Piltover and Zaun, and both cities are rife with potential for a procedural experience that generates missions for a detective, bounty hunter, chem baron's hound, and rewards the player endlessly with all sorts of hextech loot that can be used to put together a near endless combination of unique equipment. Something like Borderlands, in that regard. - How about a straight up wargame? Put you down on the ground level of Runeterra's most heated conflicts in a singleplayer/multiplayer experience that allows you to go toe-to-toe with League's finest while building your own character's legend. An asynchronous competitive experience in the form of factional territory control, refreshing weekly, would work quite well here. It would provide multiplayer interaction for various comfort levels. - Hell, how about a singleplayer take on the Rift? Similar to the above, only instead of a war experience, the player exists in a self-contained third person environment. Players create champions, put their kits together from a variety of visual flairs, practical effects, and shape/cast animation modifiers to tweak to their heart's content, then get thrown into the Rift to go up against five champions with four AI teammates. More or less, experiment with what it might be like if those old League promos were actually a game. Endless replay value is possible in the form of an ever-shifting tournament-style league, where champions who rise to the highest echelons get big rewards to keep growing. Bonus points if you can add your created champions and/or download other players' shares to add to an ever-growing roster of champions on top of what League itself provides. This is just off the top of my head. In short, I'd definitely angle for a singleplayer experience. It's much safer for Riot for a variety of reasons. Singleplayer gamers are more likely to try and enjoy multiple games than multiplayer hardcores. Singeplayer games require no hardcore server upkeep, so they don't need to make a big ongoing investment in the project once it releases. Players get to enjoy the game offline, on their own time. Everyone wins. Plus, it exposes players reluctant to get into online games to League of Legends, potentially drawing new players to the flagship title.

With due respect, if they're going to keep his damage, he shouldn't be a support at all. He ought to be jungle or mid. That said, I agree. I'd have dialed his damage potential back and kept his healing where it was. Unfortunately, Riot is married to this damage meta...

You are the one putting him on trial for being strong when he is the fourth worst support. Oh and if you check higher than plat his stats only get worse btw. I replied, but I didn't add anything else to my argument. (Nice try at coercion, though! It was smooth as butter until you added two P.S. notes.) My defense has rested, that doesn't mean I can't banter with you. Consider it like... The case is over, and now we're going to the bar for a beer, like buddies. We're buddies, right? I mean we clearly have at least one major thing in common.
: Grievous wounds is a situational stat for AD champions - why not for AP champions?
To be honest, Grievous Wounds is so essential these days that I'm pissed it takes 3000 gold to get it on an AP champion. I'd like to have it on Nami by level 7 or so, but the only way to do it is with Executioner's Calling.

Rests.** If this abstract figure is what the prosecution will close with, in a case the _prosecution_ centered around a hypothetical KDA, this should be an open-and-shut case. Boards? You decide.
: Some QQL Buffs that I want to see for Azir and Urgot
Technically the soldiers have one now, it's just... not a timer. You have a sense for when they'll go by the particle effects and wind sounds.
: In always dying in lane and teamfights and I feel like ive learned nothing about playing against certain champions whatsoever.

The best way to learn about other champions is to play them for a game or three. Knowing their kit and how they "handle" is half the battle in counterplaying them. As far as dying... That's most likely a matter of putting yourself out their too aggressively. Practice being patient and letting the game come to you. Let him make the first mistake, and don't chase it. A general rule I use is... "The _moment_ I feel like a chase isn't going my way, abort." Like I have a rough vision for how it'll unfold when I go in. The moment it stops going that way, I pull the plug on it.
: Can I get help with improving?
This will probably get removed. I made a post here recently along the same lines and it got booted for being on the wrong board. I wouldn't know where the right one is, they don't say. Just... Be ready for that. Before it is, my response: It's tough to say for sure without knowing which specific mistakes you make, which in turn would be hard to measure without watching several of your games. Thus, I'll give you general advice in case you don't already do it. 1. On casters, positioning is key. Realize that most of the time when you cast, you're making yourself vulnerable for a brief moment, and your enemy can take advantage of that. Try to catch them while they're lining up a minion, casting themselves, something like that. Something where an animation will delay their response. Also make sure you're positioned in such a way that allies can support you when necessary. 2. Try to stay behind your allies, but not so far behind you're exposed. Always keep some allies close enough that you can run to the other side of them if an assassin jumps on you. 3. Manage your cooldowns efficiently. Only use combos when you're pretty sure you can get the kill. Otherwise, save successive abilities for emergencies. If your opponent knows your champion and sees all your abilities are on cooldown, they'll jump in and you'll be helpless. Try to save full combos for securing kills or teamfighting, and always create distance after you've popped off an ability or are waiting for a cooldown. 4. Don't be afraid to give up early farm if you're up against a scary opponent. If you're up against a M7 Yasuo, it's probably a good idea to miss out on some farm rather than let him jump on you and Q you to smithereens. 5. If your stuns don't take immediately, withdraw! Even in teamfights, create a little distance and get closer to your tank. In lane, definitely retreat towards tower. Like with 3, assume the opponent knows your champion and can recognize when your CC is down. He'll probably try to capitalize. Hope these help a bit.

It really is quite funny to see these kinds of remarks.
