Would be cool. I'd settle for them to stop needlessly changing bios first though.
: Champions VGUs after Fiddel and Voli + pls do more per year
If they want to commit to resources to VGU this year than 2020 should become the year of the VgU. {{champion:24}} {{champion:79}} {{champion:53}} {{champion:85}} {{champion:2}} So many champs with tried and true gameplay still need a modernization. Especially Jax. PLS. He's had the same model since beta making him the only champ to never have his model changed of the original launch champions.

: A Baccai champion would be lovely. We know they exist, yet we still have not seen a single one in the lore, let alone in the game as a champion. Obviously a Watcher or one of the Void masters would be a great addition. They’d be a worthy rival for Aurelion Sol. Talking of Sol. Dragons. We know that there over 200 dragon species in Ionia, and that elemental drakes originate from Ixtal. Why not make more dragon champions? Perhaps a dragon vastayah could be a very nice addition to the thin roster of champs from this region. Altough Urgot kinda fullfills this to some degree, a chembaron champion would be welcome. Perhaps the one from the Zaun story in the Realms of Runaterra Book. A champion from the tribe of Lissandra, the Frostguard. This is the least represented tribe of the three, so more champions could be added to it. A true Blessed isles champion. Not someone who survived the Ruination and got twisted by it , but someone who managed to remain completely untouched by the black mist. And lastly a champion from the region between Noxus and Demacia would also be a great addition. We know they use magic, so maybe it could be some kind of a shaman.
> And lastly a champion from the region between Noxus and Demacia would also be a great addition. We know they use magic, so maybe it could be some kind of a shaman. I had an ideas for the heartland of Valoran and all their smaller Kingdoms to form an alliance. Sort of a federation of independant diverse Kingdoms dedicated to working together to maintain their sovereignty from Noxus and control some of the chaos spilling out from the Demacia Mage Rebellion. I think it a practica thing to happen granted whats' happening in the story, but I'm not sure what Riot would do with it.
: About that Piltovan Robot Butler
You're a little biased, but lemme tell as someone who tries to value all the regions of Runeterra as equal that the robo-butler concept was probably way better than what we got with the Vastaya crime boss Note. Would like to add that since Hextech crystals contain Brackern Souls rito can easily create an in-universe reason for robots not being subserviant and having their own free will. Like in Star Wars droids who don't get routine memory dumps like R2 and the female droid in Rogue One become extremely individualistic as a result. The Brackern Soul could influence the programming of the Robo-Butler making him his own dapper individual self. Plus we have Blitzcrank already and he's pretty autonomous.
: Fiddlesticks - Origin theory
I'm 100% sure Fiddlesticks lore will boil down to "FIDDLESTICKS an evil primordial thingy and that thingy is now set loose and is being all evil and primordial all over the place, BUT NOBODY KNOWS WHAT IT IS AND WHERE IT CAME FROM" Like Nautilus Amumu and Rammus maintaining a sense of mystery is probably way better than anything else they can come up with.
: I mean, even if Ionia has got many champs over the last 2-3 years, the overall lore of the region barely developed. We had Sylas alone that massively improved Demacia’s lore, whereas for Ionia we’ve had multiple champions (with good stories too, but that’s it) that don’t really add anything to the Ionian environment. All we know is that Zed is going after Jhin, that Syndra woke up and... what else? Maybe I haven’t read enough but that’s all I can remember right now.
It's so funny, but this is true. Rito in 2014 - "We are revamping the lore, Ionia is a once harmonious land pushed into discord in the wake of the Noxian invasion" {{champion:98}} VGU, {{champion:202}} , {{champion:498}} and {{champion:497}}, {{champion:141}}, {{champion:39}} VGU, {{champion:84}} VGU, {{champion:875}} Rito in 2020 - "Ionia is a once harmonious land pushed into discord in the wake of the Noxian invasion" All these champions and the state of Ionia is the exact same, there are just more people in it. Any other region could've progressed enough to be in it's end state by now.

The writers don't actually update the Universe page another team publicizes that. The same team that probably publicizes things like League Music on Spotify (Only took em ten years) and updates League Displays (They uploaded Bloodmoon Thresh instead of Dawnbringer Karma as a wallplper last patch lol). Yeah so good luck... all the writers and narrative team can do is message them to fix discrepancies like this, but they never seem to get around to it. : > After 2012 EVERY female champ had a unique silhouette that isn't just hourglass figure buxom babe or somehow paid homage to pop culture references like Harley Quinn. Silhouettes aren't what most people are talking about. Xayah is hot. Camille has a ridiculous hour glass. Have you seen Lissandra's skins? Jinx is wearing short shorts and a bra. These designs aren't bad, no they are all actually very good designs. However there is still an obsession with retaining the hour glass wear its not needed, or giving many females the same god damn face, or Riot's phobia of women over 30. > Since 2012! More than 3/4 of the games' life span... Despite this most of League's women are sexy. Because many of League's women were made early on in the game's life span. Lets count in number of champs, because that isn't misleading like number of years is. > Champions like who were initially very sexualised have also been given unique silhouettes and heavily desexualised. Sorry I didn't realize taking off Akali's top and showing even more of her thigh was desexualizing her. Akali is still very sexy, but its classy and makes fits her character to a T. > Yet people freak the fuck out over her and Kai'Sa I mean there are some people who freak the fuck out over any hot chicks, yes. But I think you are mistaking most other people's arguments. Hot girls are fine. Hot girls having the same face? Thats kind of boring. Hot girls instead of interestingly designed female characters? Okay thats where the line is crossed. The issue with Kaisa being hot is it limited and contradicts her design. The issue with Qiyana being hot is we have seen so many like her and her design is somewhat lack luster. If you look at her concept art of when she was going to have metal skin, she was much more interesting and unique looking. > The double standard man. Whew lad. It is a double standard when you cherry pick the few shirtless muscle dudes and ignore Riot's history with female characters. And besides, sexy guys = shirtless muscle dude. Sexy girls = sexuality permeates every aspect of their design from body type, silhouette, animations, face shape, outfit, splashart, skins, and poses. Lets not forget that Riot will only threaten the sex appeal of a female character if they entirely abandon it (Rek'sai). And a lot of people who think Kai'sas design is boring, also think Sett and Sylas's design is boring. Its just that hot guys are considerably less overdone than hot girls.
> And a lot of people who think Kai'sas design is boring, also think Sett and Sylas's design is boring. Its just that hot guys are considerably less overdone than hot girls. My whole post is illustrating that this is becoming the new norm and sexualising females is on the out.

It's DuCouteau. I also think he and the "masked" edgy solo laner are one in the same. He went missing, I think most of us can agree it's likely because he posed enough of a threat to the Black Rose that they attempted to eliminate him. What if he didn't get killed or captured, but somehow faked his death/capture to go off the grid? {{champion:50}} - "Do they know who killed your father, or do they still blame me?" * Swain/Katarina Interaction Him and Swain are allies. So this voiceline doesn't fit. It's really suspect whether Swain killed him at all. >Grand General Boram Darkwill had been deposed by Jericho Swain, and a number of noble houses had chosen to honor this coup… including Du Couteau. Outraged and disgusted by her husband’s betrayal, and fearing that all members of the Black Rose were now in jeopardy, Soreana became desperate. >- Cassiopiea Bio When DuCouteau went against The Black Rose he became a target. His wife was DESPERATE and perceived his actions as a BETRAYAL. His life was in danger so when Swain went about purging his enemies and the rest of the Darkwill loyalists he made it seem as though DuCouteau, someone who in truth supported Swain was included among them. That was when Marcus donned the mask and began working within the shadows to dismantle The Black Rose and destroy the corrupting influence that tore apart his family and Noxus because like Swain he is a nationalist at heart. The way Reav3 describes gives me a really awesome mental image of him as "Noxian Batman". Even before today I was sure he was coming soon with The Black Rose becoming more fleshed out after Mordekaisers' VGU, the fact that we haven't had a new Noxian champ since 2016, The Lost General Card in Legends of Runeterra that seems to exist purely to tease us and confirm that he still is a relevant thing in the lore. Now with these subtle clues and the message in the video about wanting to bring more lore champions like Kai'Sa and Senna into the game I will eat my hat if champion 150 isn't him. It would be also fitting to mark champion 150 by making him a lore champion, a champion that has existed as an idea since October 23rd, 2009 in Katarinas' first rendition of the lore, back when she had blue hair and green clothes. That's how you celebrate 10 years of LoL.

: The only female character who has been unnecessarily sexualized since Elise's release (and btw, a good argument could be made that Elise's sexualization is perfect for her character and not just fan service) is Kai'sa, who everyone universally hates design and lore wise. Every other attractive female character is justified by their story. Qiyana is a haughty teenager/young adult who thinks she is perfect and flaunts her power, perfect outfit. Evelynn is the most justified of all the female champions. Other than that, like I said, it's been since season 2. Aphelios is like the only dude who isn't an animal or creature in the last 6 or 7 years who is actually wearing clothes. I get people will still say that male players get fan service and Riot oversexualizes all women because a lot of the older female champions still fit that model, but we're talking about a practice that was discontinued 8 years ago (minus Kai'sa, who received massive backlash for her shoddy narrative justification for looking like she does). Safer to make sexy male characters because of the double standard. When it's a guy being sexualized the response will be a resounding "ooooh daddy" and when it's a woman its usury, pandering or manipulative. I don't actually care honestly, but the hypocrisy is still comical. What is problematic is that Riot is falling into a pattern of generic archetypes. Cute champion {{champion:142}} {{champion:518}} {{champion:350}} probably the next champion as well "whimsical" jungler + all the sparkly VFX in that teaser sounds suspect. : The orbit of Targon stories
The Solari and Lunari are two parts of a larger truth, they will fight, but eventually come back together at the end of it all. I hate specific changes done to Leona and Dianas' dynamic though. Making them close friends, that ascended together and then had a falling out over opposing truths/ideological differences that they wear on their sleeve is SOOOOOO tired and played out in the storytelling. They're just carbon copies of Kayle and Morgana now, if I was new to the lore I'd have trouble distinguishing them. Also it's just too late in the game to change stories of champions who aren't getting VGUs or aren't relevant to the story yet. Hard to get invested in anything when everything is subject to change.

: Diana, girl are you okay?
I knew they'd cut the stories down as the bios were way too long but what the fuck is this? Why are Diana and Leona so intertwined from the start? Leona could be given benefit of the doubt in the old story because she became an Aspect after Diana and from her PoV, Dianas' attack on the Solari elders was unjustified. Now gifted with the knowledge of the Aspect she knows there is more to the Solari/Lunari conundrum SHE STILL REMAINS STUBBORN AND STAYS WITH THE SOLARI. Oh with caveat she's chasing Diana, but not for understanding, but because she wants to save her friend. Is she a religious zealot or NOT. Make up your mind Riot. Also them both being made Aspects one after another after following each other up the mountain. Whats' up with that Diana becoming Aspect first, discovering the truth and then killing the Solari elders leads to Leona being left in the dark and having a justifiable hatred for Diana that is later alleviated when she herself becomes an Aspect and learns the bigger picture. Why fracture this core aspect? For the D E S T I N Y? Yeah right more like contrivance. Why is all interaction and mention of Atreus omitted? Did they just never meet now? Was he not important enough to keep even for just a paragraph letting us know that they still had beef and that Leona was born into the Rakkor before being chosen by the Solari? Why does it read EXACTLY like the Kayle and Morganas' conflict when before Leona and Diana had distinction because they WEREN'T close before they split? They just had two pieces of a puzzle that needed to put together now it's exactly like K&M. Sisterly bond, Difference in ideology, inevitable epic clash, collateral damage back home, one "sister" being harsh and resolute while the other is open and seeking answers. I really hate it. Cute/Sexy/Humanlike champions have a higher playrate and sell more skins. Bestial initial concepts like Kai'Sa and Neeko will slowly get more designed by committee as they approach release. She's taking consistent L's and Riot is playing it off as "part of her bigger plan" Loses control of Darkwill Gets caught by Swain in his youth Loses her pawn when Swain executes his coup Oh but she was pivotal in killing Mordekaiser right.... except he wanted to die to build Mitna Rachnun and is coming back anyways... I don't think Riot is handling the "political intrigue" aspect right. She seems like a total fool and they just hand wave it to arrive at whatever predetermined destination they decided on regarding the Trifarix, Mordekaiser, The Black Rose. Holding out optimistically since I think this is the year they will do something substantial and meaningfully move Noxus forward on the timeline.

: Hopefully they'll KILL that plot next year. General is only lost because Talon's outdated bio says so. Otherwise we really don't have much idea what's going on in noxus for around 5-6 years. Swain does some dirty stuff, Darius at Freljord, Katarina kills for Swain etc.

Swain does some dirty stuff, Darius at Freljord, Katarina kills for Swain etc. Cassiopeia got a bio update not too long ago, introduces her mother, Soreana as a character and confirms that General Du Couteau supported Swain which Soreana saw as a betrayal. If anything this is pushing us towards Du Couteau being a character. Not to mention the "Lost General" card which is a clear reference. He's tied to The Black Rose. When they become more relevant (which is slowly happening with The Thorn of The Black Rose story and the general Morde VGU) Du Couteau will also become relevant and Riot will progress his story. I'm hoping this year since Demacia got a lot of the focus what with the Mage Rebellion and Noxus needs some conflict otherwise its' hard to justify why they won't attack Demacia in their weakened state.

Yasuo killed him and buried him so yeah he dead. The card game has a lot of what if scenarios. People said the same thing about Senna. {{sticker:sg-poppy}}

Thresh took her soul. Why even make the distinction between that and killing her if the plot isn't going to bring her back. Same with champs like DuCouteau who are possibly "MIA" instead of explicitly dead. Riot wants to preserve some notion of surprise, but accomplishes the opposite since we know him not actually being dead.
: 2019 Lore Tournament: Thorns of the Black Rose vs Silence for the Damned
Silence may just win this whole thing for me. If it's not at least top 3 then I'll decree this tournament rigged for sure.
: Shadow Isles: What are the Rules??
The book has a diagram showing how the Isles makes intruders slowly go paranoid and then insane as insidious spirits gnaw at their soul Stage 1 : Anxiety Stage 2 : Paranoia and hallucinations Stage 3 : Deceased people the victim knows begin to take form Stage 4 : Leeching spirits at the victims spirit until they let go Stage 5 : The victim weakens until their physical form wastes away or becomes a vessel for attacking spirits

: With the mage hunts going on in Demacia, you'd think Noxus would use the opportunity to strike
Swain really doesn't care about Demacia as much as Darkwill would have. * Needless wars have weakened Noxus before Swain installed the Trifarix * Noxus and Demacia have fought in the past and it led to a draw * To maintain contiguous borders Noxus would have to conquer all the smaller kingdoms between Demacia and Noxus (Arbormark etc) * And finally, Demacia really isn't the main threat, Swains' visions and the rot at the heart of Noxian society is the threat Noxus must deal with first. The Black Rose and Mordekaiser.

Don't you mean Aatrox smacking Pantheon so hard that the original aspect of war was destroyed and all that was left was Atrius the host? Quote on quote - "Once an unwilling host to the Aspect of War, Atreus survived when the celestial power within him was slain, refusing to succumb to a blow that tore stars from the heavens." - "The Darkin’s god-killing blade was driven into Pantheon’s chest, a blow that carved the constellation of War from the heavens. But as the Aspect faded, Atreus—the man it had considered weak—awoke once more."
